In South Korea, the rapeseed plant is known as yuchae. In Europe, since the 13th century, this plant is processed into vegetable oil.

  • Rapeseed oil is the fourth largest commonly used vegetable oil in the world, after soybean, palm, and cottonseed oils.
  • Rapeseed oil-producing countries include Canada, China, and Australia.
  • When in bloom, rapeseed flowers are very beautiful. Because it is so beautiful, in South Korea a yuchae flower festival is held.
